Sales Director – Greater Philadelphia, PA

Come join our seasoned staff of industry leading professionals, offering cutting-edge AV solutions to a wide range of industries.  Seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to join our team as a Sales Director in our greater Philadelphia office.

The Director of Corporate Sales will primarily be responsible for implementing and managing company sales goals and objectives.  They will fulfill the role of department head, overseeing company sales.  The chosen candidate will oversee all sales management functions and the handling of key accounts.  They will directly manage the corporate sales team and be available for client and vendor intervention as needed.  In addition, they will plan, organize and implement sales programs for the company, plan and be responsible for achieving overall sales objectives, and lead staff related to sales activities, utilizing in-depth industry knowledge.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Serve as primary sales department head, assuming responsibility for meeting company profit requirements
  • Oversee daily sales activity
  • Set department guidelines for prospecting, meetings, reporting, etc.
  • Accompany Account Managers on calls, providing coaching and guidance
  • Support trade shows exhibits on behalf of the company
  • Attend training for certifications, as necessary
  • Ensure integrated efforts and provide feedback/direction to staff around strategic planning, goals and company objectives for overall company/individual performance
  • Oversee administration and distribution of timely sales reports and projections as required
  • Oversee staff development/training and collaborate with management on staff development
  • Develop and implement sales plan, inclusive of market research, sales projections, territory or vertical market assignments, key and targeted account identification and new and existing customer development programs
  • Oversee client proposals
  • Attend job functions as required to present on behalf of the company
  • Lead by example, create a positive work environment and lead change to ensure a positive work environment

Skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 10 years industry experience with 5 years sales supervisory experience
  • Possess knowledge of technology, networking, customer relations, marketing and communications, project management issues and job costing
  • Be skilled in people management and supervision
  • Moderate travel as needed to customer and vendor sites, as well as industry events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized
  • Display excellent customer service skills for both the internal and external customer
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups
  • Proficient in the use of a PC including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Strong planning, organization and implementation skills to oversee successful, timely completion of projects
  • Ability to effectively handle stressful situations
  • Ability to read and effectively interpret general business documentation
  • Valid current driver’s license required
  • Some light lifting required
  • Ability to work with a moderate noise level
